ABOUT ME

HOW I GOT STARTED

TOP DESTINATIONS

Honestly I’ve wanted to travel ever since I can remember, I actually grew up visiting my dad in California every summer and I think that’s when my love for the ocean started. Ever since then I’ve found traveling is my escape from the real world, when I’m traveling I’m stress free.

My favorite place to visit so far has been Hawaii! I went to Oahu 2 times in 2021 and it actually changed my life. Such a beautiful place with beautiful beaches. The north shore had such a calming feel to it and has been my favorite place so far!

Las Vegas - February 2023

Flight: I ended up flying Frontier, and overall it was fine. You don't get any free snacks or drinks which was a bummer. Luckily I was only flying from San Diego so it was only about an hour and a half flight! The other downside is they had no Wi-Fi available for purchase as well as no TV screens. I don't normally fly Frontier so I was a little bit shocked, I'm glad I always bring my own snacks and have lots of music and stuff to watch.

Hotel and Transportation: My friends and I ended up staying at the LINQ hotel. It was a smaller hotel but we didn't mind because we knew that we were hardly going to be there. We ended up paying about $180 per person, with 4 of us and a total of 4 nights. We booked a double queen suite but the beds looked more like Twin XL's but after the first night I realized the size of the room was actually perfect for 4 people. If you have 4 people and want an ample amount of space I would recommend maybe getting a bigger room. Transportation was pretty easy as well, we didn't rent a car because everything that we wanted to do was walking distance. I definitely recommend just doing Ubers if you are going to Vegas!

Activities and Food:

Friday 2/24/23: We ended up going to Alexxas for brunch and bottomless mimosas. The food was great and the mimosas defiantly did their job. The drinks were a little bit on the expensive side, they were $30 per person but I don't think that's too bad for how much your getting! Overall brunch was a 10/10, the food was great, the service was amazing, and by the end the mimosas had us pretty much stuck in our chairs. That night we went to Drais Nightclub which was by far my favorite club we went to this trip. It had great music and an awesome environment, and there was an outside area that was great for cooling down. The drinks were also a little expensive but I was expecting them to be since its Vegas, for a 12oz drink it ranged from about $15 - $20 which was pretty much the same at every club.

Saturday 2/25/23: We ended up just getting a quick breakfast at the hotel before heading to Lavo Dayclub which was pretty fun but really crowded at the same time. I defiantly recommend going just for the experience, but I'm not entirely sure if id go again, just because of how crowded it was. Afterwards we walked around for awhile before heading back to the hotel for a quick power nap before getting ready for the USHER concert! This was probably my favorite part of the trip just because I got to see usher perform. It was an entire show and it was awesome. If your in Vegas and usher is performing, please go! It was amazing. Afterwards we did end up going to the Usher afterparty but only stayed for about 15 minutes before heading back to the hotel where I ended up playing slots for awhile.

Sunday 2/26/23: We ended up going back to Alexxas for brunch again which was great. Afterwards we walked back to the hotel and ended up doing a quick outfit change because we wanted to head to Downtown Las Vegas but there was a marathon that day so instead of a 15 minute uber ride, it ended up being an hour so we decided against it and ended up just walking to a parking garage to take photos! After taking pictures for awhile, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the night, we ended up going to Marquee Nightclub as well as Drais After Hours! Both were so much fun and we ended the night around 5am down at the casino.

FAVORITE PLACES TO VISIT IN SAN DIEGO

BEACHES:

Del Mar Beach ADDRESS: 3902 29th St, Del Mar, CA 92014

I love Del Mar because its got a nice big beach, its perfect for walking and relaxing, its also a dog friendly beach so lots of pups but its not overcrowded very often. Del mar is spacious enough so it doesn't feel crowded, although it can defiantly be hard to find a parking spot. There is a parking lot that you can pay to park in, but it’s around $20/hour which is insane!

Torrey Pines Beach ADDRESS: 12600 N Torrey Pines Rd, La Jolla, CA 92037

Torrey pines is perfect for walking, and It’s also a good place to watch sunset! The only downside is sometimes there is lots of rocks on the shore which makes it hard to lay out, its also a pretty small beach. There is also a hiking trail nearby as well! There is tons of additional parking you just have to walk a little bit to the beach as well as pay!

Imperial Beach ADDRESS: Imperial Beach, CA 91932

Imperial beach is the place I've gone the most, its probably my favorite beach, mainly because of the memories I have there but its a great beach for laying out, swimming, and walking. There is a nice pier to walk on where you can also get dinner! As well as my most favorite ice cream shop Cowabunga, definitely give them a try!!

Mission Beach/Belmont Park ADDRESS: Mission Beach, San Diego, CA 92109

This is the perfect place to go if you want the beach, but easy access to lots of food, shopping and fun things to do with kids or friends! Mission beach is great to walk around and they have got some good souvenir shops as well. The food is great with a fair feel to it and they even have rides! Its a great way to spend a nice warm day!

SCENIC DESTINATIONS:

Sunset Cliffs ADDRESS: 4599 Ladera St, San Diego, CA 92107

Sunset Cliffs is probably one of my favorite spots! The name speaks for itself, its most beautiful at sunset. Its not too far from Mission Beach so its perfect after a beach day! Finding a parking spot can be difficult at times but its worth it. The houses that are by the cliffs are stunning and its a beautiful area to walk around, or if you just want to relax there is usually plenty of spots on the cliff to sit and just take in the view!

Mt. Soledad ADDRESS: Soledad Mountain, San Diego, CA 92037

This place is gorgeous!! It has views of the city and the ocean! Its considered one of the most unique veterans memorials in America, if your visiting San Diego I definitely recommend stopping by Mt. Soledad its a really cool experience.

La Jolla Cove ADDRESS: La Jolla Cove, San Diego, CA 92037

There is tons to do! Lots of walking alongside beautiful sandstone cliffs overlooking the ocean, an area that (depending on the time of year) has tons of seals basking in the sun. Its such a cool thing to see! There is lots of little vendors along the walking path to buy stuff like jewelry, tapestry's, sunglasses etc.! The seals can have a pretty strong smell so just take note of that but you get used to it pretty fast! Its defiantly worth a visit!

FOOD:

Roberto's Taco Shop - Many Locations but favorite is the Chula Vista location and Torrey Pines Location

This taco shop is one of my favorite places to eat, I've been going here ever since I can remember! I think everything on their menu is worth a try! Some of my favorites are the Carne Asada Burrito (or anything with carne asada), the Rolled Tacos and the Shredded Chicken Nachos (only available at the Torrey Pines location)

Daves Hot Chicken - Many Locations

This place is actually amazing! Im so addicted to their food, I feel like I eat it at least once a week at this point! The chicken is seasoned so well and the tenders are HUGE, defiantly get the bang for your buck! They have different spice flavors ranging from No Spice - Reaper, my favorite spice level is Hot. If you go make sure you get extra Daves sauce if your a sauce person like me! You can't ever go wrong with this place 10/10!
